Rap Living

Rap Living is a New York music collective that throws live shows by the volume. Each volume is its own night at their home venue in New York: a lineup of headline artists, with open mic and poetry sets from up and coming talent in between. Once a summer, the series moves outdoors to a new spot for its summer festival, with a daytime and a nighttime show. We have been their media team since 2023 and have covered every volume, each one with the same coverage, so the series looks consistent from one night to the next.

Horizontal recap, Vol. 13

Delivered every volume: a horizontal recap, a vertical recap of the same night, and as many performance photos as the night allows.

How a Night Runs

Headline artists carry the night, and between each one the stage opens up to performers from the crowd: rappers, singers and poets. The lineup changes every volume, so we cover every set, from the headliners to the open mic, and whoever takes the stage ends up in the recap and the photos.

One Night, Two Cuts

We film each volume in horizontal, then edit the night twice: the horizontal recap above for YouTube and screens, and this vertical recap for Instagram, TikTok and Stories. Same night, same footage, recut and reframed for the phone instead of cropped from the wide version.

Same night

Both cuts come from the same Vol. 13 footage and run about a minute each.

Reframed for the phone

Every shot is repositioned for a tall screen, so performers stay centered instead of getting cut off.

Every volume

Both versions are delivered for every volume, ready to post on each platform.

On Stage

We shoot every volume with more than one camera, so each performance is covered from more than one angle. Rap Living gets a full gallery of the night, and every performer, headliner or open mic, is in it. A selection from recent volumes, newest first.
